In Flushing services, correctly sizing the equipment is not simply a technical matter: it can be critical to the safety, schedule and operational continuity of an offshore installation.

Recently, Lubritech was called in to take over a job on a Petrobras platform after a previous intervention had not achieved the expected results, causing significant operational impacts.

To address this challenge, our team developed a specific execution plan and mobilized equipment with the appropriate pressure and flow capacity, together with the resources and infrastructure required to meet the demands of the service.

Prior to execution, representatives from the platform visited our facilities to review the planning, evaluate our capabilities and align on the execution strategy. During the visit, some of the equipment and technologies presented also generated interest for potential future applications.

The service was successfully completed, achieving the expected results and demonstrating once again the importance of combining engineering, planning, experience, properly sized equipment and operational capability.

This experience reinforces an essential principle: in critical Flushing services, simply mobilizing equipment is not enough. Understanding the system, defining the correct parameters and having the appropriate resources to execute the work safely and efficiently are fundamental.

Having the right equipment — and knowing how to use it — makes all the difference.
