International Team working together in Sicelub

After the pandemic, where most of our travels were put on hold, we are back! As part of our strategy to get more flushing services in Turnaround Stage, we always try to mix our technicians and get a better support! This time was in Brazil. We were requested to perform 3 High Speed Oil Flushing Services in a Refinery in North of Brazil, and we were performing another big turnaround in a South Chemical Plant in same Country, so, we had to mobilize our “International Team”.

 

With the support of two technicians from Lubritech Argentina, and another two from Lubritech Peru, we were able to perform this job in an excellent way. Customer was really impressed with our capability of put a strong team there for performing the service, and we are opening new doors for the future on this customer.

In the attached pictures you can see our Team, with technicians from Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Venezuela during a lunch all together with our commercial and operational team in Brazil, and the visit of General Manager of Subsidiaries as well. A great support from Argentina and Peru to our partners in Brazil. A big job of different Staff in those countries for making this possible.

Europe meetings

Recently, General Manager of Sicelub Lubritech Group did a visit to some countries in Europe. After the pandemic, we have been able to travel more frequently for having presential meetings with customers and our team. On this travel we asked to our customers for feedback of our services and prepare strategic planning for next years.

We were in some customers in Refineries, Chemical Plants, EPC’s and we realized that maintenance activity and investment are increasing, with focus on improving reliability and availability of rotating equipment.

We introduced the new versions of Thermojet Oil Purifiers which are able to remove varnish, water, particles and gasses from oil in different applications.

Internal meetings were realized to review our plans on Safety, Quality, Environmental, Human Resources and Administration.

We have opened new vacancies for Technical Area. We are looking for Technicians with background in Lubrication, and Oil Mist Installation. If you want to apply, please, send your CV to info@sicelub.com.

High Velocity Flushing in Turnaround in an important Refinery of Peru

During March and April, Lubritech Perú performed a very important High Velocity Oil Flushing in Screw Compressors un a Gas Compression Unit in a Peruvian Refinery.

Due to the complexity of the job, and the short time turnaround, we performed the job with a high flow pump (600 lts/min), in order to secure a quick cleaning process in all lubrication and control systems.

All activities were performed with Safety, Efficiency and Quality.

 

Our team in the field were the technicians Marcos Mesa, Luis Yovera and Omar Milla.

Oil Flushing in Wind Turbines Brazil

In previous posts we share with you that we had signed a Frame Agreement in Brazil for performing services in the Wind Power Market. Now, we want to share information of some jobs we performed during Q1-22. We performed oil flushing to 63 Wind Towers in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. This job was managed by Valdinei Silva and Rafael Castro. We had three technicians in site, performing all the job. They are Lucas Santos Souza; Magno Lima Santos y Manuel Souza Oliveira.

During the oil Flushing, we also performed oil change, oil analysis on site, under the best practices in Safety, Quality and Environmental.

Thermojet Oil Purifier Performance

During 2021, Sicelub Ibérico performed different oil purification services in an important Refinery of Spain, using a Thermojet Oil Purifier.

In one Service, main objective was to remove water from oil and in other, to remove gas entering the lubricating oil system from mechanical seals. In both cases, the Thermojet showed a high efficiency for purifying the oil, achieving saving in oil consumption, and making more reliable and available the rotating equipment, since it wasn’t necessary to perform an unplanned outage for repairs. We know that a good oil quality extends life of mechanical elements like journal bearings, valves, etc.

From environmental point of view, our customer saved more than 50,000 liters of oil in one year, which is a great impact in Sustainability.

Thermojet Oil Purifier for Venezuela

Sicelub Lubritech Group has delivered a Thermojet Oil Purifier to a very important customer in Venezuela, after several years without operations in that Country. This news makes us proud.

The Thermojet oil purifier can remove free, emulsified and dissolved water, particles and gases in different lubricating, control and sealing systems in Turbomachinery. There are more than 200 Thermojet oil purifiers operating in different countries in Iberoamerica, and this is a exclusive design of Lubrication System Company, our sister company in Reladyne.

Training Grupo Sicelub Lubritech

During the last week of November, Sicelub Lubritech Group participated in training on tribology and lubrication engineering.

 

In Peru, Mr. Roberto Romero arranged a technical training of more than 20 hours about best practices in lubrication in Refineries. We had more than 30 attendants, all of them engineers of refineries. We covered very interesting topics, including Oil Analysis Programs, best practices in contamination control, oil mist lubrication for centrifugal pumps and high velocity oil flushing procedures for commissioning or turnaround. The dynamic of the training was very nice, a lot of questions, answers, and comments. Main objective of the training was to share the importance of lubrication in Maintenance Program in Refineries. We shared case studies from Sicelub Lubritech Group in the last 20 years in Refineries of Latin America.

 

In Argentina, Mr. Cristian Schmid performed a presentation about “Oil lubricant film in journal bearings calculation. Practical application” during the 2021 Tribology Days arranged by the Argentinian Tribology Association. On this work, we showed the lubrication theory, some equations, but also a practical application in journal bearing of a reciprocating compressor.

 

From Sicelub Lubritech Group, we will continue sharing best practices on industrial lubrication and our knowledge for helping our customers to increase reliability and availability.

Oil reclamation for Lubricating system in rotating equipment in FPSO in Brazil

One month ago, we performed an important oil reclamation in a platform FPSO in “Bacia do Campos” in Brazil.

 

During this job, our technical team was on board for purifying 1.200 liters of lubricant, to reach the cleanliness requested by OEM in the lowest time, to guarantee a safe commissioning and start up, after a maintenance.

 

We used high filtration skids, and Thermojet Oil Purifier, to reach NAS 5 cleanliness and 100 of water content.

 

We also brought with as portable analysis equipment, to determine NAS code and water content during our service. We were able to finalize the service 2 days before than the due date, in a safe way and with high quality standards. Our customer was able to anticipate tests and startup of the equipment.

High Velocity Oil Flushing Service during Turnaround in a Brazilian Refinery

During past July and August, our team performed a great job of High Velocity Oil Flushing in 7 big equipment in a very important Refinery in Nord east of Brazil, during a Turnaround.

 

Due to the complexity and short available time, we worked in two fronts, using high flow pumps (flow from 1.900 up to 4.180 lts/min), to reach a turbulent flow in all lubricating and control systems.

 

We also performed the job in hydraulic systems. Because the small diameter of piping, we used a high-pressure pump (able to reach 200 bar); to provide a high flow.

 

All activities were performed in the available time, with Safety, Efficiency and Quality.

 

Our project lead there was Alexandre Adão, several technicians were involved in the operation (Alison Luiz, Anderson Morais, Djalma Alves, João Sousa, Leandro Araujo, Rodrigo Cardoso, Rogerio Araujo, Willians Mendes e Ilmar Macedo). Our Project Engineer (Rafael Castro) and Operation Coordinator (Valdinei Silva) were also working in the Project. All the team worked following our covid-19 protocol.
